In its own words
A starting point for a personal AI workspace with Claude Code: one repository that holds your rules, skills, workflows and memory, and a terminal command that always starts Claude from it.
It is a trimmed copy of the workspace I use every day. Fork it, delete what you don't need and make it yours. It is not kept in sync with my own workspace.
Why
It helps if any of these sound familiar:
- The AI forgets what you taught it in previous sessions.
- The rules you wrote get ignored halfway through a long session.
- You explain the same context again at every new session.
- Claude behaves differently depending on the folder you open it in.
- Your context fills up with instructions that have nothing to do with the task.
How it works
Two ideas hold it together:
- Project context lives in each repository, never in the workspace. The workspace knows how
you work; each repo's CLAUDE.md knows what the project is.
- Every line loaded in every session costs context. That is why rules are short, skills load on
demand and the memory has a hard cap enforced by scripts/validate.py.
Getting started
Requirements: Claude Code, uv, jq (status line) and zsh.
- Create your copy: Use this template on GitHub, then clone it.
- Install the launcher, pointing it at the folder where your repositories live:
- Start a session from anywhere:
