This repository is the privacy-clean Taste edition. It preserves the career-ops infrastructure and its original MIT attribution, but contains no previous candidate profile, CV, application history, reports, or generated output. Start with the Mac handoff below and read TASTE.md for the included operating defaults.

Mac handoff: start here

Install Node.js LTS, open Terminal, and run:

Then open a coding agent in this folder and paste this exact prompt:

Set up this career-ops starter for me. Read AGENTS.md, TASTE.md, README.md, DATA_CONTRACT.md, and run node doctor.mjs --json. Interview me in plain language for the missing information; do not assume I work in software. Use my existing CV if I provide one, create every missing user-layer file, and configure local/search.json for the roles and locations I confirm. Never invent facts, metrics, qualifications, or work authorization. Never send a message or submit an application. When setup is complete, run npm run doctor, npm run cv:verify-facts, and tell me which facts still need my confirmation.

Personal files are ignored by Git. Do not remove the ignore rules, and do not commit cv.md, config/profile.yml, local/search.json, anything under data/, reports, or generated PDFs. The agent may ask you to run npx playwright install chromium when you first generate a PDF.
