In its own words

README.mdslesarev92/claude-bot-workspace

File-based memory workspace template for Claude Code, optimized for Telegram bot integration.

What is this

A workspace template for Claude Code that implements "memory on files" without external plugins or databases. One CLAUDE.md acts as the orchestrator, a handful of directories hold different content types, and reminders live as structured markdown files with frontmatter.

The template works two ways: locally with Claude Code (point the CLI or IDE at the directory) or through a Telegram bot such as linuz90/claude-telegram-bot, where the agent handles your messages and treats this directory as its long-term memory.

Nothing in this repo is specific to a given bot or scheduler — it's just a workspace layout plus one well-tuned CLAUDE.md. The moving parts around it (bot, scheduler, voice transcription) stay in your own infrastructure.

Philosophy

Why files instead of plugins like claude-mem or external databases:

  • Transparent — everything is visible in a normal file manager.
  • Grep-able — ripgrep finds anything in milliseconds.
  • Git-trackable — full change history for free.
  • No vendor lock-in — works with any Claude Code setup.
  • Portable — copy the folder, carry it to another machine.

Structure

CLAUDE.md stays compact (~100 lines) by pointing at docs/ for full protocol details — the agent reads them on-demand.
