AboutLoringtonian/second-brain-template

Lots of people found it didn't fit them, so I wrote second-brain-seed. Start there. Once your seed is set up and you have a working second brain, ask yours to look at this one and learn something.

README.md

A working blueprint for a personal "second brain" that an AI coding agent can navigate — a blank template you clone and fill with your own life.

Start with the why → INTENT_SPEC.md. It's the spec everything else in this repo serves: what this kind of brain is for (the fixed architecture intent), plus the Owner Intent slots that make it yours — your purpose, gaps, goals, and success criteria, filled by /setup and re-scored monthly. Read it before anything else; the rest of the repo is machinery in its service.

New here, or not very technical? Start with START_HERE.md — a plain-English, no-jargon setup guide (the easiest path is the Claude Desktop app, no terminal needed). Stuck on a word like clone or virtual environment? See the GLOSSARY. Want to help this grow into a community project? See CONTRIBUTING.md.

Feels like too much? Try the one-prompt version. If a full template is more than you want, start with the second-brain-seed — a single SEED.md that an agent reads to grow a brain from scratch by interviewing you, with no template to strip down. It points back here as the reference architecture for when you're ready to go deeper.
