In its own words

README.mddk3yyyy/career-ops-hermes

A Hermes-first, local job-search operations system for discovering roles, evaluating fit, tailoring evidence-backed application material, tracking applications, and preparing for interviews.

This is an independently maintained derivative of santifer/career-ops, not a GitHub fork. It preserves the upstream MIT license and contributor history while maintaining its own product direction, release path, and Hermes integration.

What is different here?

  • Hermes-native entry point via npm run hermes
  • Hermes-aware operating rules in AGENTS.md
  • Private-by-default candidate data kept outside Git
  • Himalayas filtered search support with bounded pagination, strict host validation, redirect rejection, and URL deduplication
  • Independent updates and releases from dk3yyyy/career-ops-hermes
  • Current upstream reliability work incorporated, including safer status selection, better failure diagnostics, backend PDF rendering, follow-up tracking, and truthful zero-skill handling

The project remains compatible with other agent CLIs supported by the underlying system, but Hermes Agent is the primary path tested and documented here.
