README.md

Built by Claude from Anthropic.

A local-first workspace for a tiny business. Drop stuff in inbox/, run a script, get a daily digest and a dashboard that tells you what needs doing.

Zero npm dependencies. Plain files on disk. Open in any editor. Sync over Dropbox/iCloud/git if you want — it's just markdown and JSON.

The two files at the root

  • agents.md — who (or what) does what. Roles, not employees.
  • skills.md — the recipes. Repeatable how-tos for the business.

Status files

Each domain has a status.json that tracks open items: jobs in progress, unpaid invoices, content drafts. The dashboard reads these. The digest summarises them.

What the inbox parser does

Looks at file extension and content, classifies the item, and writes a sidecar .meta.json describing what it found (sender, date, subject, suggested route, etc.). It does NOT move files automatically — review the sidecar, then route by hand or use --apply.

Supported out of the box: .pdf .eml .msg .txt .md .png .jpg .jpeg .heic .vtt .srt .json.

Extending

  • Add a new domain: create the folder, drop a status.json with { "items": [] }, link from data/index.json.
  • Add a new parser: drop a function in lib/parsers.js keyed by extension.
  • Add a new agent or skill: append to agents.md / skills.md.
