Built for cursor
ships .cursor CLAUDE.md and nothing for other agents.
In its own words
A personal, self-improving knowledge base built using Andrej Karpathy’s LLM Wiki pattern, running in Cursor.
This setup lets an LLM incrementally build and maintain a structured wiki from your raw sources, instead of re-deriving knowledge on every query. The result is a compounding knowledge asset that gets more valuable over time.
Origin
This implementation is based on:
- Andrej Karpathy’s LLM Wiki pattern — View the original gist
Folder Structure
- **
raw/** — Your input only. Never modify files here. - **
wiki/** — The compiled knowledge base. This is where the real value compounds. - **
outputs/** — Place to save useful generations without cluttering the wiki.
Bootstrap from Scratch
Use this if you're starting with an empty folder (or just Karpathy's idea file) and want the agent to build the full setup — structure, schema, first wiki ingest, and Cursor skills.
Prerequisites
- Create or clone a git repo for your knowledge base.
- Save Karpathy's LLM Wiki gist to
raw/karpathy-llm-wiki.md— do not paste it into chat; point the agent at the file. - Open the repo in Cursor.
Bootstrap prompt
Copy into Agent or Composer:
After bootstrap, day-to-day use is three prompts:
How to Use
