In its own words

README.mdcarlosazurmendi/claude-job-helper

A self-contained Claude Code workspace that uses subagents and skills to research, review, write, and tailor resumes and cover letters — grounded in one source of truth, informed by live internet research of real job postings, and built so agents flag gaps instead of fabricating facts.

Tuned for K–12 teaching applications (certifications, districts, ATS portals), but the structure adapts to any field — see Use it for another field.

The bundled demo persona (Jordan Rivera, a bilingual art educator) is fictional sample data. Replace it with your own.

Why this exists

Most "AI resume" tools invent achievements and produce generic text. This workspace is built on three rules that keep output honest and consistent:

  • Single source of truth — every fact lives in profile/. Agents never originate a fact; anything missing becomes [NEEDS INPUT: ] for you to fill.
  • No fabrication — no invented certifications, employers, dates, or metrics. Ever.
  • Separation of concerns — small, isolated agents (research / write / review / cover letter) each read only what they need and write only their own output. Easy to run, easy to trust.

Prerequisites

  • Claude Code installed and authenticated.
  • git.
  • (Optional) pandoc for DOCX/PDF export. Without it, the built-in docx/pdf skills are used as a fallback.
